The brother's bath today was badly broken because the bath bandit blew the bath bubbles badly before. Okay, enough alliteration. It's fun, but way too time consuming. Basically, during the last bath mentioned CL had dumped a full bottle of bubble bath and a full bottle of shampoo into the bath and filled them with water so I wouldnt notice. It wouldn't be such a big deal if I didn't buy special products because of CL's apparent allergies to many kinds of soap, and the shopping club I get it from only carries the bubble bath during certain parts of the year, so I'm out. Unfortunately, I'd promised RC a bubble bath, not realizing that the bottle was full of water. Try to explain to a nearly 2 year old why they can't have a bubble bath because there's only water in the bottle.
Fortunately there are only so many hours in a day for CL to get into trouble, and I'm learning more ways to keep him busy during those hours.
It's rough when, as someone who recently became a housewife, I just want to get the house clean. I've recovered the kitchen so far and a good portion of the living room and office recovered. Ladies, never allow your husband to be a stay-at-home parent for more than a couple days. Nearly 5 years of nonsensical mess being made makes for a lot of just picking up trash. If you have the choice at all, stay home and keep house the way you want it to be.
